 Members:250 (students volunteers from Slow Fish and chefs/volunteers from upcoming events not yet added)

  1. Marketing & Branding 
  • Discussion on social media responsibilities: Kathleen Beveridge will be looking after CTS’ social media; meeting to be organized with Colin and Robert to plan and organize postings
  • WEB SITE: new web site to be presented at AGM.  Colin to work with Dominic (IT) to streamline content and make sure all membership and required content is in; remove forum section
  • Media training required for chefs: Leeann to organize and CTS to organize a “media training” event - pending
  • Official spokespersons’ list to be organized – pending
  • Celine sent list of expectations to Leeann to plan for next year’s events – resent in December
  1. Events
  • March 3 – PICA Kitchen Party (wine festival event) – Saturday, March 3 - Chair: Darren Clay- Darren to see if Wine Festival will give a donation in Chefs’ Table Society’s name – too late for this year, present to Wine Festival Scholarship Chair for next year.
  • March 13 – Curry Cup 2018 -– Chair: Neil Wyles – 4 women and 4 men; money for donation given by MPBIA (make sure in collaboration with CTS); Harry McWatters will a judge.
  • May 12 - Spot Prawn Festival (season opens on May 10 as confirmed by Steve Richards, ED PPFA) –

Format:  SP chowder for public; 2 x brunch settings with 5 to 6 stations each @ 11h30 am and 1h30 pm

Area of responsibilities:

  • Public Event: Chair: TBC; with VCC for production line TBC
  • Demo cooking stage: Chair: Alex (TBC)
  • Family activities & education component for Festival: Celine
  • Ticketed dining experience: Chefs:  Scott; logistic: Celine
  • Beverage and other product sampling: Danny

 

  • June ? - Food truck – Chairs: Danny Markowicz, Alex Tung with third chef to maintain continuity;  Location TBC
  • August 25– Wild Salmon Celebration (TBC) – date to be verified to avoid conflicts. Chair? TBC;  same format as last year – emphasis of quality of fish as last year’s was below par.
  • September 23 – Slow Fish Dinner – Chair Darren Clay; Co-chair:
  • Chefs’ Congress 2020: to be announced at AGM; planning to start in 2018
