The Chefs' Table Society of British Columbia is a chef-administered, province-wide collaborative dedicated to creating a foundation for the exchange of information between culinary professionals. We support innovative and sustainable programs that will inspire, educate and nurture our chefs, our producers and our local food industry, all the while promoting standards of excellence with the aim of enhancing the reputation of our regional cuisine.
We believe that through dialogue, passion, and fun, we can sustain a nurturing environment for our culinary students and collaborative partnerships with local suppliers, producers and supporters within British Columbia. This translates to:
- Fostering camaraderie among chefs
- Supporting local producers
- Protecting our food security
- Creating a legacy for our young chefs
Founded in 2005 by Jamie Maw and Sid Cross, the Chefs' Table Society of British Columbia is a registered, non-profit society composed of BC’s leading chefs and culinary professionals. Its members are dedicated to using local, sustainable ingredients in their regional cuisine. The Society actively secures apprenticeships for and bestows bursaries to emerging local chefs and also finances culinary education programs in BC schools.
