Culinary Students from Maple Ridge Secondary at The Commons by CTS

On Wednesday, April 22nd, culinary students from Maple Ridge Secondary School visited The Commons thanks to Chef Instructor Trevor Randle’s connection to CTS.

Students were toured through the new space gaining an inspiring information about British Columbia’s vibrant food culture. During the visit, they heard firsthand from CTS board members about their diverse career paths across the culinary and hospitality industries—from professional kitchens and food media to entrepreneurship and advocacy. The students were encouraged by the candid insights into both the challenges and rewards of these careers, as well as the many different directions a passion for food can take.

Students were also introducted the CTS Mentorship program, scholarships and Mise En Place.

Thanks to Jason Ocenas from Bargreen for also sharing the Bargreen story and giving each student an awesome Browne peeler!

The future it bright!
