Enjoy good eats, company, and time while getting back into the swing of Vancouver events.

(Vancouver, BC) After two years the Curry Cup is back at Heritage Hall in Vancouver to heat things up before Spring fully arrives. Presented by Chefs' Table Society of BC and the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Area, this friendly competition brings eight chefs together for one night of curry education, competition, and comradery.

For many chefs and their brigades, curry is the ultimate family-style staff meal, the proud product of a cook's cultural heritage. It was through this principle that the Curry Cup began in 2014 and has become a yearly celebration of the culture of curry.  Monday, April 11, from 6h30 pm to 9h00 pm, marks the 8th year of competition with 8 of Vancouver's top chefs competing for the cup. Guests will taste each creation and cast their vote for fan favourite while five of Vancouver's foodie elites will judge and award the coveted Curry Cup based on a variety of criteria including plating, flavour, and cultural knowledge.

The competitors for 2022 will include chefs from:

More competitors are being confirmed and will be announced shortly!

This year's MC will once again be the incredible Fred Lee and judges will be 2020 winner of the Curry Cup, Burdock & Co chef/owner Andrea Carlson, along with Meeru Dhalwala, Anya Levykh and Sarah Kirby-Jung

Tickets include tasting dishes from the eight competitors, as well as, beer samples from R&B Brewing and Main Street Brewing,  wine from Chaberton Estate Winery and the TIME Family of Wines with special thanks to Town Hall Brands. To end the evening, we're thrilled to have gelato Masetro James Coleridge back to provide desserts!

Partial proceeds from the event will go to Growing Chefs! and volunteers from Growing Chefs! will be onsite to chat about their organization and programming offered in local schools.

Tickets are on sale on Eventbrite. Early bird pricing of $59.00 per ticket ends on March 21st when the ticket price will rise to $69.00. This event follows the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) guidelines under the Public Health Act and is subject to change.
