We’re pleased to announce the enhancement of the Chefs’ Table Society Advisory Council.
As Chefs’ Table Society (CTS) continues to grow its impact, we are formally augmenting our existing ex-officio directors, Sid Cross and Jamie Maw, by evolving and strengthening our Advisory Council. This enhancement reflects both where CTS has been—and where we are going next.
The Advisory Council will serve as a visible, engaged, and strategic support body to the CTS Board and membership, helping us amplify our mission, deepen mentorship, and build long-term sustainability for our culinary community.
Why this matters
The enhanced Advisory Council will help CTS:
• Garner further mentorship through esteemed leaders — connecting emerging chefs with respected industry leaders who inspire, guide, and elevate the next generation.
• Strengthen fundraising and brand identity — building recognition for CTS alongside our well-known events, and creating new revenue opportunities through cooking demonstrations and experiences in our new Commons by CTS and beyond. Imagine a Masters Series featuring icons such as Michel Jacob, John Bishop, Bruno Marti, and Mary Mackay, paired with emerging chefs.
• Attend events with leverage — increasing CTS’s visibility, credibility, and influence across the industry.
• Prepare young chefs for local, regional, and international competitions — through mentorship, skills development, and confidence-building opportunities.
• Build momentum, membership through networking — growing through meaningful engagement and participation.
How it will work
• Advisory Council members will sit as ex-officio (non-voting) members of the CTS Board, attending monthly meetings alongside Sid and Jamie.
• The Council will act as a support group for both the Board and CTS membership, offering insight, experience, and advocacy.
• Members may convene independently to develop new concepts and strategies, particularly around mentorship, membership growth, and engagement.
This evolution marks an important step forward for Chefs’ Table Society—one that honours our legacy while building the framework needed to support the future of our industry.
