- The email for board members has been set up as board@chefstablesociety.ca, Julian to cancel gmail.
- Forum is not being used. Vikram has added a posting regarding a vegetable cart. Board members need to start posting topics to get it going.
- Tiffany will contact Jeremy and ask for a new topic heading for the forum titled “Hot Topic”.
- Membership
- Board will hold its first AGM on Monday, September 25, 2006. The AGM will run from 2pm to 3pm followed by a social gathering up to 5pm.
- The society will cover the cost of food for the event and wine will be covered by wine sponsors.
- Tiffany will send out an email asking if any of the members would like to host the event. Venue would need to hold 50 to 70 members.
- Tiffany will email all the chefs from the Vancouver Cooks book that have not signed up yet and invite them to join the society.
- Elections for new board members will be held at the AGM. Robert Clark will prepare a list of board commitments that must be met by all members of the board.
- The board will as members to submit fresh ideas and suggestions on how the society should move forward. Tiffany will email the membership. This topic will be reviewed at the AGM.
- Financial
- $44000.00 term deposit has been set-up.
- $3000.00 in bank for paying accounts payable.
- Purchased 50 Vancouver Cooks books from Barbara-Jo’s. Books will be stored at Barbara-Jo’s store for future use. Barbara-Jo McIntosh suggested the chefs society hold a “block party” as a fundraising event.

Board meetings will be held the last Monday of every month. Meetings will not be held in July, August or December.
Next Board meeting will be held Monday, September 25th 1pm to 2pm, followed by AGM and social, location to be determined.
