  1. Website
    • All members on the forum must log in using a user name that consists of first and last name, example: marymackay
    • Member profiles can be customized
    • Public will view a headline for each topic.  Topics are limitless, after a year topics can be removed or pruned.  Back-up will be done monthly.The forum will cost about $25 per month to maintain.  This will be covered by the annual membership fees (chefs, owners, cooks $25 annually).
    • Membership will not be renewed automatically, a notice will be sent out first.
    • All membership dues will have to be received thru pay pal.  The cost per transaction is slightly higher than Visa charges.Pay pal is responsible for protecting member’s private credit card information on the registration.
    • Posts made on the forum can be edited as long as no one else has responded to the post.
    • The moderator can edit, delete and post reply’s to all members.
    • The conduct of forum will have to be agreed to by members when signing up; they will be prompted to read the rules of the forum then have to click on “I accept”.
    • The moderator will remove all posting infractions.
    • Public can view the events calendar.  All events for the calendar will have to be approved by the board before being posted.
    • There will be an area on the site that will only be accessed by the board for communications.Jeremy will research to see if it is possible to have email sent to board members to notify of posting that have been made in certain topics.  For example: Could Robert C. receive an email notifying him that a posting has been made in sustainability?
    • Jeremy can set the forum up to block out certain words that chefs like to use a lot!
    • Jack recommended that a press release go out to BC chefs draw potential new members to the website.
    • Jeremy will finalize the logo with Jamie Maw.
    • Jeremy will register the site with Google.
    • The website will consist of the following:
      • Administrator – Jeremy Gruman
      • Executive – Board of the Chefs Table Society
      • Moderator – TBD
      • Membership
      • Public

      Board Decisions:

      • What information is required for the registration?
      • Events calendar, what is acceptable?
  2. Other Business

    • Board meetings will be held the last Monday of every month.  Meetings will not be held in July, August or December.

Next Board Meeting is set for February 27th at Vij’s Restaurant, 3pm-4pm
