Approval of Board Minutes February 26, 2013– Scott Jaeger 1st, Robert Clark 2nd

  1. Financial Report: Neil Wyles

    • Account Balance $50,000, $5,000 donated to Project Chef, no new income.
    • Alvina and Neil to arrange a meeting to review pay pal issues
  2. Branding and Marketing Committee: Robert Belcham
    • Vancouver Magazine Awards recruitment table and Dish Showcasing ingredient of the year and supplier of the year.
    • Ingredients secured, Chef Quang to prepare a dish with ingredient of the year.
  3. Sustainability/Growers/Green Initiatives Committee: Andrea Carlson
    • Green Initiatives Committee to follow-up on Skuna Bay.
    • Raven Coal mining project would like chefs to participate in an awareness promotion to capture media and public’s attention.  CTS would like to participate as long as the promotion is positive.  Suggested dates include September 13, 14 or 15th.  Stacey will come back to CTS with further event details and a set date.  Stacey will follow-up with Robert Clark.
  4. National Sustainable Seafood Day May 3rd – Ned Bell
    • Chefs invited to attend National Sustainable Seafood Celebration on Friday, May 3rd at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver.
    •  Tickets are $25 each.
    •  Mary made a motion to have CTS support the event by purchasing 10 tickets to give out to young chef members, approved by present members.
