Here are the last 5 of the 10 restaurants across BC where you can indulge in wild BC salmon while supporting chefs, restaurants, and the fishery this upcoming weekend, August 27-29, for the 5th Annual Wild Salmon Celebration across BC.
Chefs Justin Lee & Alexandra Sandoval at the newly opened Miantiao (1115 Alberni St, Vancouver, BC) are offering a four-course menu for the event!
You can make a reservation for their Fai Tu Coho Salmon Menu which is sure to be a treat as Miantiao marries Italian and Chinese cuisines!
With Lee's reputation for bold, delicious flavours and a no-nonsense demeanor in the kitchen and Sandoval's experience cooking under world renowned Chef Ignacio Mattos at his Estela restaurant in New York City their dish is sure to please!
We are thrilled to have Chef Jeff Van Geest from Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek (537 Tinhorn Creek Rd, Oliver, BC) serving up his wild salmon dish with other local ingredients!
As Van Geest is one of British Columbia’s most celebrated chefs and is known for focusing on locally procured foods from sustainable produce the flavours of his Wild BC Salmon, Stone Fruit, Cucumber Panzanella Salad will definitely make your taste buds sing-- and you'll have great wine to choose from to raise a glass to this iconic, healthy, and sustainable iconic BC food.
A great location to check out, as a tourist or a busy Vancouver resident running errands will be Popina Cantina (1650 Johnston St, Vancouver, BC, Net Loft on Granville Island). Three powerhouse chefs, Chefs Angus An, Robert Belcham, & Hamid Salimian, came together for this collaboration!
So grab their Wild Salmon Taco before, during, or after exploring Granville Island. It will keep you fueled for your weekend activities no matter what they are!
Back in the Okanagan, Chef Adam Mukasa at Quails' Gate Winery (3303 Boucherie Rd, Kelowna, BC) will be serving Wild Coho Salmon Tartare with Farmers Cucumbers, Crumbled Feta, Buttermilk & Dill Vinaigrette!
And in keeping with Quails’ Gate’s mantra of local and sustainable, Adam’s philosophy is sourcing and cooking high quality organic ingredients, using local suppliers and cooking seasonally inspired dishes that speak to the wines and terroir.

Back on the Island at SoBo Restaurant(311 Neill St, Tofino, BC) you'll be able to enjoy Chef Lisa Ahier's Cashew Pesto Crusted Seared Wild Coho, with Sweet Corn, Heirloom Tomato, Yellow Bean, & Basil Salad!
While Ahier was working with Melissa Kelly (Old Chatham Sheephering Company Inn), she developed a passion for organic food and local sourcing that has since defined her career.
That passion lead to SoBo Restaurant on the west coast of Vancouver Island in Tofino in 2003 and it has grown to a destination restaurant in the centre of town, known for its respectful partnership with local growers and producers. Which means this dish is truly one of a kind!
BC Wild Salmon is for everyone and we're thrilled to have offerings that will showcase how flexible this delicious and healthy choice product is across the province for all budgets and taste buds!
Thank you to Organic Ocean for supplying and delivering the salmon for this year's celebration. And thank you to the Salmon Marketing Council for partnering with us for this event!
