The Chefs’ Table Society of British Columbia’s Culinary Centre, like many things, started with a conversation around a table. And there it was, seven years ago that Robert Belcham had an idea.

  • What should Chefs’ Table Society’s legacy be?
  • What could we do that would help the industry and preserve the knowledge which is included in cookbooks, experience, and menus?

The seed was planted and it slowly grew. Discussed occasionally, dreamed about regularly, it matured into a project which is now well underway and has solid roots in many people’s mind but currently lacks physical roots.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if there was a space in the city where culinary professionals could gather and exchange ideas? A place to learn from each other and find belonging in one of the greatest clubs. A club house where food and everything related to it could be discussed, taught, and experimented.
After all, this is what the Chefs’ Table Society of BC is all about.

This project is an innovative and unique concept curating culinary educational resources in one location made available to professionals to further their development and to the public for their enjoyment through various events and activities.

That’s the dream for the CTS Culinary Arts Library, with its Food Center, to bring a multi-faceted hub that combines a library, as well as, educational, event and retail components to Canada.

It will house resource material for people, from entrepreneurial reference and small business incubation to business development and expansion.
For the professionals, resources for building and running a restaurant, all aspects of the culinary and hospitality industry, local ingredient index, special sections regarding wine and spirits;

We need your help to make this dream a reality:
