  1. Vancouver Cooks 2.0 Proposal
    • Sid gave a report on meetings with publisher Douglas & McIntyre and presented their proposal to the board.  The board passed a resolution to bind the Chefs’ Table Society of BC to a contract on these terms.
    • Dino will contact the ministry of agriculture to see if any grant funding will be available for the project.
    • Andrew reviewed the outline for the cookbook.
    • Andrew will contact restaurant chefs directly for recipe input.  There is an October 31st dead
  2. AGM
    • Will be held on Monday, September 29th, 2008 from 12 noon to 3pm at the Miele Showroom in Vancouver.
    • Tiffany and Mary will meet at Miele to go over final details and report back to the board.
    • Andrew will contact restaurant chefs directly for recipe input.  There is an October 31st dead
  3. Chefs For Life Auction Item
    • Dinner hosted by Pino on January 12th, 2009.  Mediterranean theme with French wines.  Pino will invite 4 to 6 local chefs and 2 chefs from abroad.  The auction item will be for 8 x $500 tickets to the dinner.
  4. Growing Chefs Event & Support
    • Tiffany will contact the membership and request gift certificates for restaurants to donated as auction items for the Growing Chefs fundraising dinner.
  5. 2008/2009 Board

    • Pino will take on the position as president and Vikram will be past president.
    • Mary will contact absent board members to see if they will remain on the board for next year.
    • Any positions left unfilled will be presented to the membership for nominations.

Meeting adjourned at 3:00pm

  • Next Board meeting will be held Monday, September 29, Miele Showroom 11am to 12 noon.
  • Board meetings will be held the last Monday of every month.  Meetings will not be held in July, August or December.
