Approval of board minutes October 27, 2008 – 1st-Robert Clark 2nd-John Bishop

  1. Fundraising Dinner at Cioppino – January 12th, 2009 
    • Tiffany will prepare PR and finalize name with Pino
    • Pino will manage the restaurant reservations for the event
    • Motion passed to offer a food cost budget for chefs that can not secure donations of ingredients, $250 maximum per chef.  Motion passed 1st-Don 2nd –Tiffany
    • Pino has requested to have Andrew and John to join him on the floor serving.
    • Pino will be providing all the china and glassware, no need for rentals.
    • Andrew will arrange for advertising on Scout Magazine.
    • There are 120 seats to sell, $500 per seat.  8 seats have been reserved from the Chefs for Life auction.
  2. Cookbook Update – motion was pasted at the meeting November 24 as follows:
    • Andrew will email chefs regarding book commitments, time lines and any updates.
    • Approving the term and conditions of the Agreement 2. Delegating to Pino Posteraro the authority to make decisions and bind the Chefs’ Table Society of BC to the Agreement 3. Agreeing that all members of the Chefs’ Table Society of BC participating in Vancouver Cooks 2.0 waive their claims of copyright and hereby give permission for the use of such recipes, material, images, names, and other proprietary rights and vest same in the Chefs’ Table Society of BC.

    • New position will be a 6 month commitment, 15 hours per month maximum at a rate of $20 per hour.  Tiffany will train Michele and invite her to the next board meeting.
    • New Business: Motion passed to hire Michelle Sproule as an administration coordinator.  1st Pino, 2nd John

  • Next Board meeting will be held Monday, January 26, 2009 at Nu Restaurant, 2pm.
  • Board meetings will be held the last Monday of every month.  Meetings will not be held in July, August or December.
