- Jamie will post material on the forum for members to read about sustainability
- The email for board members has been set up as board@chefstablesociety.ca, Julian to cancel gmail
- Tiffany is the administrator for the website
- Board members can edit posts to the forum
- Sid and Jamie to add text to the website
- New topic to be added to the forum “What’s Hot”
- Jamie would like to see more topics added to keep the forum interesting
- Jamie will negotiate a price for the photo on the home page
- Tiffany emails all new members to the board to review
- Need an outline or membership requirements in accordance with our mission statement
- Events
- Board members asked to host a luncheon for the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Award judges. The luncheon would go towards paying the bill for renting a table at the Magazine awards.
- The event will be held at the Jericho Tennis Club. Date to be determined.
- Discussed holding a get together for the membership on September 25th, either a potluck or Dim Sum. Tiffany to organize a list of members to attend.
- Other Business
- Jamie motioned for the start up an Okanagan Chapter, Robert C. 2nd the motion. Jamie will organize, Vikram will speak with Michael.
- Approved an invoice for Marilee, $800 design fee.
- $3600.10 came in from cookbook sales.
- Jamie suggests the board purchase a supply of books at cost, 200 copies left, board agreed to purchase.
- $3000 in receivables from Barbara-Jo’s.
- Tiffany and Jeremy will send invoices to Jack for their work.
- Robert Clark and Jamie Maw attended an event at the Monteray Bay Aquarium. Board discussed holding a similar event on ocean and field sustainability. Could partner with the Vancouver Aquarium and host the event in September 2007.
