Approval of Board Minutes April 24, 2012 – Andrea 1st, Cate 2nd

  1.  Financial Report: Neil Wyles
  • Cookbook sales and spot prawn sales increased cash balance to $78,000. Neil will arrange for the purchase of more GIC’s for CTS.
  1. Spot Prawn Report: Chris Whittaker
  • Spot Prawn 2012 brought in $14,337. (2011-$10,300) (2010-$7,000)
  • Chris will co-chair 2013 and is preparing a synopsis template.
  • Need more prawns in 2013 to increase sales.
  • Shorten the event by 1 hour for 2013 (11am to 2pm).
  1. Araxi Longtable Series-Julian Bond
  • % of proceeds will be donated to CTS this year.
  • Cate Simpson will work on PR.
  • Cook books will be offered to all guests attending Araxi’s Longtable event.
  1. Membership: Website launch, party for chef members and membership drive: Robert Belcham
  • Katharine Mason to order T-shirts for CTS 1425 total shirts, Neil to look into storage for T-shirts.
  • Admin position will handle sending out membership packages.
  • Launch party for new website and new brand, possible date of July 23, 2013
  • Website launch June 15, 2012
  1. Salmon Festival
  • Proposed a joint festival for Project Chef and CTS for a family oriented festival mid September
  • Chris Whittaker and Barbara Finely to meet to discuss.
