- Networking – Website
- Will move forward with Jeremy Gruman on website design. Vikram will see if cost of design could be lowered.
- Jamie to prepare copy for web home page as well as provide logo and photos. Jamie will look into the cost of advertising our site on E-Gullet Vancouver forum
- Robert C., Julian and Mary will meet with Jeremy on January 10, 2006 to work on materials for website.
- Deadline for website set for January 31, 2006.
- Tara Bell is not available to work on web design.
- Require a website moderator (15-20 hours per month), Jeremy may have a contact.
- Will look at selling advertising on site in order to keep the home page fresh.
- Jack will email Mary a list of suggestions.
- Jamie suggests the board look into selling dining gift cards on the website with a commission going to the society.
- Calendar of events will draw people to the website. Information will be a draw for members to join.
- Will approach local media to help advertise the site to the public.
- Look into sponsorship for the website. For example the CRFA.
- Membership
- board will be the guardian of the membership
- Board needs to draw up a list of criteria for membership.
- 1st goal is to get website up and running then sign members up via the website
- Other Business.
- Board meetings will be held the last Monday of every month. Meetings will not be held in July, August or December.
