I first engaged with the Chef’s Table Society of BC in May of 2023. I RSVP’d to a post announcing the CTS monthly board meeting, attended, and paid my annual membership fees before the meeting was over. Afterwards, I thought back on my younger chef-self and wondered why I hadnt gotten involved with them earlier in my career. I immediately applied for their Fall 2023 mentorship program and began hounding them for a response.
To my surprise, I was matched with industry veteran Chef Robert Belcham. Consulting with Robert about my career goals and professional development was the precise opportunity I needed as I reentered the hospitality industry after a prolonged absence. Each time we met, I could vent my thoughts and feelings about anything. From a recent interaction in the kitchen that rung my bell, to my future aspirations within CTS or BC’s hospitality industry; Belcham listened eagerly, sporadically dropping reflective war-stories and follow-up questions.
During the past 6 months, the CTS Mentorship Program provided me with valuable support to re-ignite my passion for hospitality and cooking. I heartily encourage any person seeking mentorship in hospitality or adjacent industries to apply for the upcoming opportunity!
 Sincerely,
 Peter Warszycki

The mentorship I received through the Chefs Table Society came at an important time in my life and career. After 10 years in advertising, I decided to transition into the culinary arts—a big shift that felt both exciting and overwhelming. Chef Cory provided practical advice on becoming a skilled cook and offered valuable guidance on navigating this career change later in life.
His experience and mentorship helped me build the confidence and skills I needed to succeed. The Chefs Table Society and their mentorship program have been a fantastic resource, offering support and learning opportunities that have helped me pursue my passion in the culinary arts.
 Sincerely,
 Jordan Yates
