DESCRIPTION:The Chefs’ Table Society of BC and the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Area present The Curry Cup. \nFor many chefs and their brigades\, curry is the ultimate family-style staff meal\, the proud product of a cook’s cultural heritage. \nOn Monday\, April 11\, from 6h30 pm to 9h00 pm\, 9 of Vancouver’s top chefs  will compete in the 8th annual Curry Cup and you get to taste all of their creations! \nJoin the Chefs’ Table Society of British Columbia and its panel of participating chefs and judges. \nYour ticket also includes beverage and dessert samples! \nCompeting chefs for 2022’s event will be updated shortly! \n** COVID-19 This event follows the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) guidelines under the Public Health Act. Proof of vaccination required and ID. You must have both vaccination shots to be permitted in this event\, as well as face mask protocols. Subject to change as per government updates. \n  \n** Must be 19 years of age or older to attend. No minors allowed. \n  \n  \n** This is a cocktail style reception and will not have tables and seats.

DESCRIPTION:Let’s come together to celebrate our passion.Spend two days in beautiful British Columbia with those who share your passion. This Industry only event is one of a kind and we can’t wait to welcome you with open arms! \nWhatPostponed until September 2021 due to COVID-19. \nFind out more or register for cooks camp 2021WhyThose in the industry know the effort\, time and care put into each day of work\, each meal prepared\, each menu written and this is a way for us to come together to celebrate that care while raising funds for the The Chefs’ Table Society of British Columbia Culinary Library. This project will be a living testament to the heart and soul we in the industry put into everything we do. We deserve a weekend to come together and celebrate us. \nWhoNo matter the position – culinary student\, stagiaire\, dishwasher\, commis\, garde manger\, sous chef\, chef de cuisine or executive chef – all kitchen staff will be welcome at this special gathering\, regardless of their race\, religion\, gender or sexual orientation. Cooks’ Camp will be a fun\, safe\, and unforgettable experience for everyone — a rustic\, totally British Columbian celebration of\, for and by the people who make our lives so delicious! \nThe EventCooks Camp will be anchored by seminars\, real-time demonstrations and practical workshops that focus on the real world aspects of cook life. From expert guidance on butchery\, fermentation and farm-to-table agriculture to spirited presentations and round table discussions on business development\, social media marketing\, and pinning down the elusive unicorn of work-life balance\, the optional activity syllabus is being structured by cooks for cooks. \nAttendanceAttendance options will include single day and two day tickets\, with group rates available for restaurants that want to bring several members of their brigades to the event. The Chefs Table Society of BC not only asks restaurants to encourage their kitchen staff to attend\, but also to help subsidize their attendance with fundraising dinners\, events and GoFundMe pages. \nAccommodationsCampers can expect a variety of accommodations ranging from campsites which are walking distance to the farm to five star world class hotels in Whistler. Over the weekend there will be a range of activities from farm tours\, to key note speakers\, to a butchery demonstration to morning yoga and pilates. Inspiring guest speakers and instructors from near and far are currently being recruited for the campout\, which will culminate in a special dinner on the farm that will likely go down as the biggest “staff meal” in Canadian history. \nAdditional InformationTickets for the weekend will be on sale September 2019. \nVisit the Cooks Camp 2020 website
